AGES ASM 2019

The AGES ASM 2019 was hugely successful!

The three-day program under the title ‘Perfection, Professionalism & Problems’.

As some would have experienced over the three-day program, the scientific committee had developed a core program that covered three key principles – Professionalism, Perfection & Problems.

We must thank our stellar team of international keynote speakers who joined us for the meeting including Associate Professor Suzie As-Sanie from the University of Michigan (USA), Professor Hans Evers of Maastricht University and Editor in Chief of Human Reproduction (NDL), and Dr Marcello Ceccaroni from the International School of Surgical Anatomy in Verona (ITA). Marcello also gave a view of pelvic anatomy and dissection techniques beyond the realm of normal, including an exciting “Live” surgery session.

We must also continue in thanking Professor Jubliee Brown, the Vice President of AAGL and Director of Gynaecologic Oncology from Levin Cancer Institute in North Carolina as well as Professor Mark Emanuel, renowned hysteroscopic surgeon from the University of Amsterdam for joining us for the scientific program.

Along with this amazing international faculty, we also had a local and Australasian faculty who only further complemented this team, we thank you for your time devoted to our program.

The Live Surgery made a comeback with a live pelvic anatomy dissection performed by Dr Marcello Ceccaroni, Dr Michael Wynn-Williams, Dr Danny Chou & Dr Daniele Mautone.

The Industry + AGES Interactive Hubs was the largest to date, and provided delegates with the chance to get some hands-on time with the Industry Sponsors and their equipment, in a more intimate workshop held at their sponsor stands. Members had the chance to pre-book and learn from the sponsor and their skilled faculty.

Of course, the social highlight of the meeting was the AGES Annual Black Tie Gala Dinner, Awards & Charity Auction, which was a very spectacular evening. It saw AGES raise $31,000 for R U OKAY? (https://www.sharethedignity.com.au/), and we couldn’t thank our bidders enough for their contribution. The successful bidders walked away with art & wine. A big thank you to Shannon Hamilton (the successful winner of the AGES Art Prize 18/19) and the AGES Board for your contribution to the Auction.

And last but not least, a final thank you to our Organising Committee, Local and International Faculty, our industry partners, sponsors and exhibitors, and of course the delegates who made the trip to Perth to join us at the Crown Towers. We look forward to seeing you all again at future AGES events.
