SUMMARY:J&J Complex TLH Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Improving outcomes in Complex Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy – Dine & Learn \n\n\n\nThis Dine & Learn experience will run on Thursday\, 19th May 2022 from 5:45pm. \n\n\n\nHysterectomy is the most frequent gynecological procedure performed. There are many benefits of laparoscopic hysterectomy including lower intraoperative blood loss\, shorter hospitalization and less infections. The drawbacks are potential injuries to the urinary tract and longer operation time. However\, the wider use of laparoscopic approach and improvement of surgeons’ skills can decrease the incidence of complications.1 Join our regional experts as they share various advancements in their techniques\, experience and evidence in their surgical approach to improve patient outcomes.

SUMMARY:AGES XXII Pelvic Floor Symposium 2022
DESCRIPTION:Dear colleagues\, \n\n\n\nHow can we reflect on the two years that have gone by since the advent of our global pandemic? It’s been a time we would rather forget\, and yet it keeps rearing its ugly head and lashing its barbed tail again and again. Within Australia\, our colleagues on the east coast have borne the brunt of the pandemic\, however\, it is worth remembering that\, for the most part\, we have been fortunate to be in Australia. \n\n\n\nIt’s time to reflect on the things that bring us together\, and it’s in this spirit that we have launched the 2022 AGES Pelvic Floor meeting\, crossing our fingers that we will all be able to meet in person and share things face to face. We will be focussing our minds on inclusion\, healing\, and recovery in all its varying colours and shades. \n\n\n\nWe will be talking about mesh (again!) and the alternatives\, prolapse throughout the lifespan of a woman\, discussing pain and sexual function. All this and so much more. \n\n\n\nWith the change of timing to June 3rd and 4th\, we are in the process of finalising our international speakers and will get back to you as soon as possible with the confirmed list. Be assured that we will have some truly world-class speakers with relevance to the day-to-day practice of gynaecology. \n\n\n\nLook forward to catching up and learning something along the way. \n\n\n\nKind Regards\, \n\n\n\nEmma ReadmanChair & AGES Board Member \n\n\n\nFariba Behnia-Willison & George CondousScientific Co-Chairs & AGES Board Members \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n *Please note when adding this event to your calendar\, the event will populate with a generic time.
